Trying to hack some sort of police radio.
« on: May 11, 2015, 06:10:00 pm »
I know this might be illegal but i found this
for nix so i thought i would try out to hear to some
police radio. As u will see in the images this thing works near 800-900mhz.
And idk anything abut RF gear so any help would be greatfull.
This has a set bnc and a antena bnc and a data rs 232 output
i tryed powering it but with no luck i bealive it has to do somthing
with the rs 232 since a transistor pin is connected to pin 9 of the
rs 232 plug. And more than that idk anything.

And i still cant upload any photos cuz of this 2mb max size well g+ it be.
Sry for the night photos was kinda in a hurry.

If the electronics in the picture is all there is this is not a radio but rather a PA (power amplifier) and a duplex filter, the PA outputs about 7 W with an input of 1 mW. It could be a complete transmitter, not sure what the black pcb with all the parts is. The set bnc output is where the receiver connects. Maybe not voice but data transmitter.

Probably data.I dont have any pc with a rs 232
and even so idk how on earth i am goan make it power on
it needs some kind of signal from the rs 232.
So no police talk oh well lol.
Can it be used to amplifie a signal?

The block with M67717 is made to do that, but in a frequency band of 872-905 MHz, not sure what you want to do there apart from getting into trouble.
