MAX31865 RTD reference resistance value?

So the MAX31865 RTD Temperature Sensor Amplifier datasheet calls for a reference resistance (Rref) of 400 ohm for a PT100 and 4k for a PT1000 sensor, but Adafruit and several other sources have slightly higher values in their designs. Is there a reason not to use the prescribed Rref values?
