Custom Milled and Turned Hot Air Nozzels Solder Tip's?
« on: November 23, 2014, 01:24:32 am »
I was thinking about this from past experience most the nozzles for hot air machines are rather cheap? I do not have the funds to have a Metcal, Pace or JBC laying arround not to tool them up!

So, I was thinking maybe I should make my own I have the Equipment to do it!

For the hot air nozzles I was thinking of using good quality stainless or ?. I am Not sure about Soldering Tips but it would doable if I can source proper materials and tech spec's!

My milling Machine small but does every thing I have needed it to do!

Building a CNC Lathe should be complete in a week or so.

What is the problem with the cheap nozzles? Don't they work just as good? (That's what I am using and never had a problem)

You clearly need some projects for those machines.  I don't see a single chip anywhere  ;D

As for the time and effort! It is the satisfaction of making/fixing what you use well I like to fix the things I have when they break and make stuff I want or need!
