What is Odd and Even bus in LVDS display interface?
« on: August 28, 2019, 05:10:11 pm »
Hello All,

I am reading PTN3460 datasheet to design eDP to LVDS bridge board. In the LVDS side, there are Odd and Even buses. Could anyone tell how it is being used ?

Thanks,
Muthu

Higher resolution (1920×1080) displays use two links to transfer data, lower resolution (1280x720) uses just one link
Some high res displays can work with one link in interlaced mode with just one link connected (I have it on one old Dell laptop, can be annoying when you are sensitive to interlacing artifact)
