What is this

Cicada:
Hi

Does anybody know what the 2 items are in the pictures attached. It is some sort of switch. Only one of them can open as shown in the pictures. The other unit with the 3.7kw sticker on is sealed.

Does anybody recognize these components i.e. function, equipment in which it is used or brand.

Thanks

If those are pipe connections going in underneath then it looks like a pressure switch with microswitch style snap action contacts. Try blowing through the input ports as see if it actuates.

It might possibly be for those pneumatically operated foot switches. From the condition of the contacts it looks new.

Miti:
They look like differential pressure switches.

Cicada:
Hi.

Thanks for all the replies.
Ok here is some more photos.

This looks like a heating element inside the body with ceramic  tubes around it. I do not know by what mechanism the contacts are operated. When the contacts are closed current will flow though the heating elements from the one blade terminal to the other. Keep in mind there are O rings sealing the inside of the body where the heating elements sit.

I have no idea what this is. Would be interesting top know.

Looks like some form of resitive water heating device, possibly with a pair of bi-metalic switches to either avoid the device burning out (if there is too little water flow) or to actually control the water outlet temperature?  These sorts of things are used in showers and forother similar "low temperature" water heating
