Hi Everyone,
I've got a DS2072 which I love, but the one thing it doesn't have is 4 channels and I sometimes could really use 4 channels.
I tried a DS1074Z, hoping it would be a nice compliment to my DS2072 for when I needed 4 channels, but it just isn't working out for me. I don't want to knock it for others who love their Z series, but for me it is such a departure from my DS2072 in terms of user interface and feel. The final straw for me was the counter. I don't see why they wasted screen real estate on the square wave signal icon before it, but moving the trigger threshold up or down on the signal will result in a stable waveform display as you would expect, but the counter going down significantly towards the top or bottom of the wave.
So, back to the question at hand. I was thinking about upgrading to a DS4014, but I mostly use it in a sensitive noise environment and it sounds like the fan is bit a noisy and I don't really want to break it open to replace the fan, and it is a lot of $$$. I'd sell my DS2072 if I moved to a DS4014.
So now my question is - are there any other 4 channel scopes I should consider? I love Rigol products, but I don't know of anything else that they have besides the DS4014 or DS1074Z. I sure wish they would come out with a DS2074!
What else should I look at?
Maybe I should just stick with 2 channels and get a LogicPort...
