Title: What power supply to use for project?
Post by: Finndersen on February 23, 2015, 01:41:27 am
Hello,
I'm planning a project which will include the following components:

So I've got some high voltage requirements (12V motor and LED circle) and high current requirements (brushless motor). I will probably never need to run the brushless motor close to max speed so maybe only 2A or so required for that? Otherwise if absolutely necessary I could try find another motor solution.

I was looking at power supplies along the lines of something like this.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DC12V-24V-60W-400W-Universal-LED-Light-Strip-Regulated-Switching-Power-Supply-AU-/171357393625?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&var=&hash=item27e5b252d9 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DC12V-24V-60W-400W-Universal-LED-Light-Strip-Regulated-Switching-Power-Supply-AU-/171357393625?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&var=&hash=item27e5b252d9)
Would this be appropriate in combination with some regulators? I'd prefer something smaller and lighter though..

Thanks for any help!
