Where can I get these from?
« on: July 07, 2020, 10:36:47 pm »
I have several of these jumpers and find them very useful for breadboarding and a variety of other functions. Unfortunately, i dont remember where I obtained them from and after a web search come up with nothing. Anyone have any idea what they are called and/or where I can purchase more?

These might give clues for what to search for:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mueller-4444-A-36-2-Stackable-080-Pin-Plug-on-Both-Ends-Red-36-/351711279572

Thanks Rob! Close but still hard to find. Gonna search again with the word stackable. The pin is 1mm in diameter and 5mm in length

Check Digikey etc.

BTW: I think the Yellow colour was discontinued.

Google, won't let me find these (1mm, 5mm length plug, stackable), linkably (but I CAN get the image).
They are probably out of stock, now. (It seems to link to a very out of date advertising site).
Possibly Rapid Electronics (UK), sold them, in the past.

EDIT: Could be 2mm diameter, or even 4mm. So, forget this.

Another option (such as https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/516/BananaPlugs%20D7MOOCE-257160.pdf  which mentions it), is to go for "Custom Patch-cord manufacture", depending on what budget and quantities you want.
Their experience would probably mean they know where and how to get the right plugs, and/or they can make them up. From empty plastic shells, and the range of connector bits and pieces, they have in stock.

Just from looking at them they look like the kinds of patch cables used in (very) old retro synthesizers?

1 mm seems pretty big for poking into a breadboard. That's about the same a 18 gauge solid core wire. Other than that, I wouldn't mind having some too.

I have several of these jumpers and find them very useful for breadboarding and a variety of other functions.
