Hello!
Can you guys please suggest where to source LCD displays in small quantities (up to 10pcs max)? One of our current projects requires 480x640px (portrait mode, that means the shorter side is the horizontal one) color LCD display with the highest possible contrast and brightness (outdoor use) and about 4.3 to 5" diagonal. Resistive touchscreen welcome (capacitive no good for this project). Parallel RGB HS VS DE interface.
Are there any suitable web pages when one can sort through LCDs easily by their parameters? Price is not so much critical in this project (enough money can be supplied), but should still be reasonable.
What LCD technology would you suggest to be used for outdoor use? TFT, IPS, MVA,...? So it could be read on bright daylight.

based on your parameters 4.3 to 5 inches and 480x640 I could only find three (all of them 5 inches) and they are all parallel RGB. If you can live with 480x800 there are more choices it seems.
Edit: BTW the last two have datasheets included.

As for the touchscreen not idea but I bet you can source that separate.
The smallest they offer in there is 6.4" diagonal but you don't need to use the full screen I guess.

Edit2: I'll be, it seems the 2nd one (samsung ltp500gv-f01) has the touchscreen already built in (seems it's 4 wire resistive but didn't look in detail), if you can't source it from them there are plenty by doing a google search (average price seems to be about $50 per unit)
Edit3: if sourcing from alibaba or ebay keep in mind they might sell you the display used on a phone (HTC 7500 U1000) but it seems to have access to the actual pins (10 seconds into this video)
