WNTD antenna teardown
« on: August 04, 2019, 01:50:17 am »
got a few of these  wntd outdoor units from my local dump
im planning on mounting a 30w to 60w cree led cob to the raised square part of the casting
i have machined it perfectly flat , as far as machining goes this material is great to work on
its 900grams of aluminum
ill probably also mount some 18650s and a boost driver in there also for a portable lamp

has anyone else  come across lots of these ?
im not sure what to do with the electronics i took out of it as its above my level, ill probably take it back to the dump

Post a higher resolution picture of the board (including part numbers of the chips) and we'll determine if it is worth hacking for personal use. I would have to guess at least one of the wireless cards is Wifi, but also apparently mini PCI (as opposed to mini PCIe or M.2) and probably too old to be worth much.
