ESP Matter

Are some people here also working Matter/Thread devices?

As the official Espressif forum isn't of real help I ask here (o;

When I have two matter devices, one sensor and and a heating system which should get actual and set-point temperature...
Do I need an external application hooking up to the matter fabric and tell them how to connect?
Or is there some mechanism where one device could "see" all available devices and it connect to it?
