Nicely made though!
Wooden black base like yours and alot of acrylic like yours, including the secundairy.

Well it clearly wins  in performance! :D
For mine the secondary coil wire part is about 35cm, but this assembly ends up closer to 60cm.

With regard to aesthetics, those new tube torus shapes have something going for them visually.
However, yours will remain the same, while mine will become many times more sexy  :-DD

The nicer keypad from RS is in the cardboard box at the back.

Fiber optic SS Tesla coil control is very common.
It's not a good idea to have a conductive piece of wire between you and the coil electronics :D

Ok, One more part to go for this assembly. I have it, but not fitted yet.
It’s a matching acrylic base shape that goes under the ground plane,
so that it looks like a silver band around the perimeter of the base.

For the top disc, it’s kind of a shame it covers the more detailed clear stuff, but it should still be there.
Laser cutting is getting expensive!! :O

That soundtrack was worthy of 'Forbidden Planet', particularly the way as the pitch increased.  8)
