Writing a Service Manual from Scratch?
« on: May 31, 2019, 08:25:22 pm »
Hi!

Has any Member ever attempted to take a piece of Test or other Equipment for which the schematics are either simply not made available, like all T &  M oems claim is now industry standard practice, or known to exsist but refused, like Chauvin Arnoux, or where the OEM had them but has destroyed/disposed of remaining stocks, like Keysight does with old C.L.I.P.'s, and write/draw a complete Service Manual covering Specifications, Operation, Theory of Operation, Adjustment/Calibration, Fault Finding, Dismantling, Parts Lists, Circuit Diagrams & Layouts?

I myself have but ended being distracted by domestic demands, car woes or bother at my employment that has diverted my mind away from the task, and by the time whatever else I had to do was completed, my train–of–thought on manual–writing had gone!

I would be interested to see a home–authored Service Manual if any Member can point me in the direction of one!

It's an enigma that's what it is!! This thing's not fixed because it doesn't want to be fixed!!
