| Alex Eisenhut:
anyone have a source of cheap but known real 28C128 or 28C256 parallel EEPROM in PDIP-28 package? The ones on eBay look not quite right but what do I know. This is for reviving vintage computers... pretty soon if I buy from Digikey or Mouser I'll end up paying more than the computer itself cost... |

AT28C256-15PU EEPROMs are available from Newark for $6.50 each: https://www.newark.com/microchip/at28c256-15pu/parallel-eeprom-256kbit-dip-28/dp/68T4339 |

Yeah but by the time I buy 10 pieces and add shipping I'm looking at a new computer... I'm just wondering if there's a known-good vendor of these 1.50$ EEPROMs. Googling each ebay vendor doesn't bring good news. |

Is this for EPROM replacement, or are there vintage computers that had these designed in? |
