Title: Xbee questions; network size and pwm outputs
Post by: David_AVD on July 15, 2013, 11:17:51 am
I've done a lot of searching and reading but still unsure of a couple of things;

1) If I want to build a "one to many" network (each slave only talks to a master) with say 50 slave nodes, do I configure the slaves as routers and still have just the one coordinator (master)?  I have read that the coordinator can only keep track of 8-10 devices, so does that mean that some (8-10) of the routers will be talking directly to the coordinator and the rest will be talking to the coordinator via those first routers?  I don't need the sleep mode so am not forced into using the slaves as end points BTW.

2) Do the current S2 Xbees support PWM output?  I'm reading a book at present ("Building Wireless Sensor Networks") and it mentions that the 2 (labelled) PWM outputs don't work with current firmware.  The book's last revision is early 2012 however, so not sure if that's still the case?
