I also saw the offer here. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to enter the code on the UNI-T website.

It's been removed.

Does the Seagate tool also work with WD drives?

The tool is SeaChest Utilities. I don't know if it works with WD's drives, but WD/HGST has Hugo, Niagara and wdckit.

    Update:
Updates the drive with new firmware.

Note that an ATA FastFormat is not the same thing as WD's "fast formatter" for its USB drives. The latter reconfigures the bridge firmware whereas the former reconfigures the HDD.

EEVblog Specific / Re: EEVblog 1610 - Deye Hybrid Solar Inverter

I've done a quick markup of the mainboard layout too if anyone is interested. I can also help with a more detailed reverse engineering when you get the disassembled boards - especially around some of the hairy details if you want to deep dive things like conversion topologies, purpose of specific components etc.

It looks like you have a lot of experience with casino gaming. I just started playing different types of casino games. Which UK casino pays the most?

Beginners / Re: hFE of a NPN transistor

ok thanks, but i need to know the hFE of the transistor, if i'm going to give 1ma and 10v to the base of the transistor is the hFE going to be greater than 25 or what to they mean with >25?

Test Equipment / Re: SDS800X HD Wanted Features
« Last post by Martin72 on Today at 11:59:39 am »
Relax...
Upon request, I have renamed my thread.
The reasoning was coherent and I would be the last person to deny someone like electronics hobbyist that, hopefully for understandable reasons. ;)
Given the length, content and "age", it seems logical to continue here, with feature requests.
For general discussion, and there seems to be a need for it, we have the SDS800X HD threads.
You can also post there first if something is not clear and you need help.
If there is still a need to talk about this, we can continue it in the general 800 thread.

Ok, so you went for 16 clocks up with the voltage, then down while counting the clocks till the comparator switched.
But that would require to not saturate somewhere..

Houston, we have a problem!

Problem with new Firmware SPD3303X_V1.01.01.02.07R2.ADS
After a while (> 1 hour) the power supply switches off the active channel  ???

My firmware vesion: SPD3303X_V1.01.01.02.07R2.ADS

How old is your unit? The early version had a problem with a bridge rectifier overheating that was the cause for it switching off after some time.

Beginners / Op-amp peak detector doesn't match the peak input
« Last post by icecats on Today at 11:58:11 am »
Hi,
I am experimenting with an op-amp peak detector used to sample and hold the peak voltage from the output of a voltage divider circuit. This is part of my attempt to rebuild the AMP+ circuit in this electric fence monitoring project.
I have measured my input pulse using an oscilloscope to be a few microseconds with a peak at 0.7 volts.
I have tried a couple different op-amps. I used the TLV9062 (what my reference circuit uses), and found that the reported peak voltage is higher than the input voltage: the alleged peak is 1.5 volts. I also tried using an OPA2374 and measured a peak of about 0.6 volts.
The OPA2374 had an output that was much closer to what I would expect. What should I be looking for in the op-amp datasheets to distinguish between these op-amps and predict this output behavior?
I have watched through this video on peak detector circuits but didn't get any hints as to what my issue might be.

Test Equipment / Re: Test Equipment Anonymous (TEA) group therapy thread

I just fixed my new, to me, 3478A. I rebuilt the switch with springs from ebay, it was missing some.
I just fired it up today and given it a bit of time to warm up.
Seems like it's in cal with my fleabay AD584 that's been running a few weeks.
Co-incidentally, the random voltages on the can seem to line up with the multimeter. What luck :)
