Is there a sure way to tell if this is not a problem with the DE-5000?

That looks like a part of the output plug?
I swapped them to standard 4 mm banana jacks.
Except for the binding posts, you can buy more or less any electrical replacement part for this supply at mouser or digikey.

I doubt you'll get rid of the calibration. It is something Lecroys do. I'm on the most recent version for my Wavepro 7k series and it auto-calibrates whenever it wants. It seems to be temperature dependant though. So after a while the calibrations are less frequent. Annoying but I don't use the Wavepro as my daily driver scope so I can live with it.

On the 7300a you can slow down calibration and disable temperature related calibration. I guess this is not available on all models.

Much newer plastic design from the 70s.   I don't recall how I melted it, but it doesn't look like a soldering iron mishap.  My trains had a rough life....

Not sure that I've figured out how version 0.16 is working.

However if you draw a cylinder around the z-axis as in the video.

Select the top cylinder end face as the reference to create the reference sketch (as the video).
Draw a square with two edges on each of the x-axis and y-axis in the positive direction.
Pad the reference square to a cube.
(Basically, make the little rectangle and pad in the video into a cube for more clarity.)

Now you have a cube which you can use to reference any of the faces in order
to create your cutting pattern.  The revolve then allows you to rotate the cutting pattern
in either the horizontal or vertical directions.

Clear as mud???   For me too.

To answer an earlier question, you can't delete this reference cube because that would
break the draw path used to update the part.  You can only add a cut of the cube at the
trailing end of the operations.

I finished layout and assembled a board for the DAC + single ratio version. I wanted to get my money's worth for the LTZ1000A and DAC11001B I used, so I added a Howland-type current source with four ranges and a fourth order Butterworth for an AWG on separate outputs. Those are on switched rails to minimize power consumption and heat dissipation. I am hoping to get the firmware to a point where I can test it with my 3458 in a week or so, but I expect I'll need to run it for a month or so to get the LTZ1000 stable enough for optimal results.

It gives no value at 1KHz.
