Added information.

W5500 resets the status, loses the PHY and IP settings.
There may be an incorrect reset scheme, I'm checking it...

Is it correct to say that the voltage is converted to heat?

No. Power is not voltage.
Electric power = voltage * current

The heat power = ΔT * q
where
ΔT is temperature difference (analog of voltage in electric power)
q is heat flow (analog of current flow in electric power)

So, in this case electric power (voltage * current) is converted to heat power (ΔT * q).

Still, something is wrong in the screenshot eTobey shared. Mask details aside, the zoomed view does not show the time window indicated in the upper window. What happened there?

I have no idea.
I have shown how it looks on mine.

With a 200kOhm resistor, you will set half of the power supply at the amplifier output. Selecting a 20-ohm resistor (in series with the diodes) will set the amplifier's initial current to about 50mA (when there is no signal)

Thanks atardov and tatel
Here is what I propose to do for my problem which is NXP MCUXpresso:

The usb installer from linuxshoponline for Debian 12.4 is due to arrive soon.
I will buy another ssd sata today , then dd /dev/zero it using fedora, then  set it up in rack as the only media
install debian per installer instruction on the usb
install pyenv which I understand is only available from github as  ~./pyenv
Add LD_LIBRARY_PATH pointing to ~./pyenv...python3.8

then start install on debian 12.4  of the MCUXpressoide....deb.bin   from NXP . I will try to find any NXP instructions for that
If significant problems I will start new thread on eevblog with scrots etc  requesting assistance.

Building nuclear power stations on the moon is probably not an issue that needs solving until we have a pretty decent sized base up there, or we want to start doing some actual mining/manufacturing up there.

Until then solar + RTGs make more sense.

I think they can be both helpful and confusing. If the color assignment of the LEDs is the same for different nodes (e.g., red is a fault, as you indicated), diagnostics should be more accessible.

I would just remember to subtract 1 Amp from the measurements. If you want to keep that meter, you can make a subtractor on an operational amplifier.
