Housing for the aerial current and reflected power meters

Try different value resistors between the two white wires until you find something that clears the temperature error, you could start with 10k as suggested by Renate.
P.S. If you use, say a 50k pot you could adjust it to get the right resistance value.

Can you please translate this to a newbie? What type of device could I use to perform these tests.

wanted feature No.37

37? Yikes. I think you all need to decide on a top 10 most important feature request list. The longer your list gets, the less likely it is for anybody to look at it.

Hi, i have a TV with a damaged powersupply board. The powersupply board doesn't output power to  the backlight LED's. I have a powersupply from a LED lamp that outputs 161 volts DC. I want to use this powersupply to power the LED backlights of the TV. The TV has 45 backlight LED's,  so the  voltage of one LED will be 161 : 45 = 3.6 Volts DC.  I want to lower the powersupply's 161 volts DC output so that every LED gets 3 Volts DC.  My quesion is what method can i use to lower the output voltage of the powersupply?

It doesn't count if it isn't running, needs to be 247.

I could answer like this: Frankly, I have not understood what that mode is needed for at all: I have the very same navigation possibilities directly in the history menu. And indeed, I have never ever in almost ten years used Navigate for browsing the history of a Siglent DSO.
That goes like "i have always done it like this, and it worked". His suggestion is a very good one, that i think i made too. That navigate button is much quicker pressed, and without the possibility of hitting the wrong button on the touch screen. History in the menu would need twice as much button presses, if that navigate suggestion would be properly implemented.

Performa01 shared his experience in using it. After getting used to the 800xhd method, if you buy 1000xhd, you will not be used to it, because these physical buttons are missing.

Finally, everyone formed a unified opinion on saving the navigation settings.

I think it is reasonable to save the settings. When saving as a history frame, in the running state, in addition to the type menu, other menus are grayed out, and the history is automatically opened when stopping, and it can be operated, which is more efficient. Even if it is in the running state, click the navigation to automatically stop and open the history. The details may be more complicated and need to be considered.

Will be added to the wanted feature No.37

urine hitting the toilet when I'm standing up while urinating and farting

In some cultures men urinate sitting down.

A sound-masking option could be an Otohime device.
Not to go off topic, but I clicked the link because, for some reason, I was curious enough to and I was shocked by the responses to that thread.  I had no idea it was that common for guys to sit down to pee lol.  I always stood, but with my excellent aim and billiards skills, I always shoot for the dry part above the water where the ceramic is at a steep angle so any droplets did a bank shot into the water.  Plus, at that angle, the surface tension helps minimize spatter anyhow.  Never had a problem with piss getting where it shouldn't that way.  However, having a few German friends and reading that, the expectation to sit is really going to mess with my head now.

GPS module, small colour LCD screen, and a single-chip BASIC computer:

personally, i'd put a small toggle switch on the back to select daylight savings option, you only need to flip it twice a year.

cheers,

Beginners / Re: Understanding High Voltage and Creepage Clearances
« Last post by LoveLaika on Today at 01:47:10 am »
Thanks. Thats reassuring, but if I may...why do we assume ground has high impedance?  The creepage calculator is for voltage between traces, but do we not treat the ground plane as a trace due to its high impedance? Shouldn't we still treat it as a trace?

So, normally, I make boards with a ground plane on both sides of the board and use vias to connect them together. But, with high voltage, if we treat ground as a trace, then the high voltage nodes needs clearance away from the ground plane. If we use that conservative value of 8 mm, that's a lot of clearance, especially with other parts. It will definitely get in the way of everything else.

One option would be to limit the ground plane to just one side of the board, say the side that's opposite of your components if possible. That would leave the other side. We could always have no copper pour there, or we could not connect the copper pour to any net and leave it floating. Would a floating plane cause instability with high voltage even if it's all covered with soldermask?

Sorry for my incorrect information. I glanced at the circuit and thought "Yes, that looks like a comp-sym circuit with a bias adjustment" and you folks are correct, it isn't. I looked at the website, many useful circuits and some that are really crude and half baked. The text is nearly incomprehensible.

i looked through the whole circuits in that page and this was the only circuit i found convincing. other circuits also maybe correct but they are too large for my project. i was sure that website, maybe that page was made by a person who don't know english fluently. its 100% google translated
