Test Equipment / Re: ANENG goes crazy with new meters

What are both pictures about to tell?

Of course, the Fluke has better protection - definitely no discussion necessary.

But else? Fluke needs more components, it´s larger, it uses more expensive PCB-basematerial?

People, don't be ridiculous about multimeter safety. 50 Years ago everyone worked with analouge meters with just a glas fuse in the current range, and death by exploding multimeter is not the main story people talk about at family parties.

Of course, if you want to work on mains lines then you either should be allowed to do that and then you usually have an expensive meter. If you do it as your hobby, then probably the meter is the smallest risk for your life...

i'll put you on my ignore list

Your video card thread as left some of us  ....   you seems to have lowered your tone,  i'll do it too,   as mentioned you are on a public forum ...  don't like it  go away

Good luck on your searches  who seem very problematic and very specific, and you don't give all the details BTW

YOU can also write   ID VID specific  FreeNAS NAS for free, Windows Server  etc ...

I helped many people and i've been helped too here

And your : I put that annoying guy on the ignore list for his attitude, not the links. when he posts links he never reads what I write and responds to me as if I were a total retard who doesn't know how to use Google, indeed in the past I had specifically asked for a stock of qty>=8 wifi cards in stock (in stock = from the same seller), and he sent me 10 different links of sellers who had 1 card each. He never reads the requests, he just wastes my time and then, even worse, he becomes touchy and annoys me with every new topic

Frankly, I'm sick of people like this, not to mention guys with ZERO public post contacting you privately saying "I have what you're looking for, send me PayPal money via Friends and Family", which is actually a scam attempt.

I'm sick of your attitude too  MAN,  and you where scammed, me too and others too ...

BE POLITE    i'll be too   Don't pick on me,  i don't pick on you

thks

DVDD - 5v
VCP - 17v
VREF - 3.3v
NFAULT - 340 mv

It's pulling nFault low  ???

it's completely not clear what is what and at what voltage levels on scope picture.
The scope pic is from SIMULATION.
HO is the Yellow trace
LO the Blue one
both at 5V/div  (Vcc is 11V).
HO is in phase with the In(put) signal as expected.
So you did not say at all how exactly is does not operate. Also on schematic it's not clear to what SD pin is connected.

Starting from your NFS export idea, next wish was to not wear out the SD card, so thought of exporting a directory from the PC instead, a directory where the RPi can write on a spinning rust HDD.

I've setup most of my Pis to use an NFS root file system for just this reason. Earlier Pis still need an SD card containing the boot partition but versions 4 and 5 can boot directly from a network.

To be honest my first schematic was a waste of time. If you are going to do something - do it right! The schematic from David Hess looks really good so i will try building it. LT1006 seems to have better performance than the INA188 and the price is similar. As for the application note schematic - some modifications will be needed. First the excitation current - could 1 mA cause self-heating on a Pt100 sensor? I would like to use the maximum possible current so that noise has less affect on the input. Also i would like to be able to measure negative temperatures. Is that going to be possible with the positive feedback resistor?

I found this post on Google and disassembled my Sony Digital Paper. I have two AliExpress replacement batteries. I attached the replacement batteries to the reader and it does boot. However I get an error that the tablet cannot charge and the temperature is too high. Based on what I've read above the white wires are the thermistor.

How would I go about troubleshooting how to make the battery compatible with the device or am I SOL? I could buy an adjustable DC Power Supply to try the aforementioned.

Sony has been a great tool for our business and, sadly, they discontinued support.
Try different value resistors between the two white wires until you find something that clears the temperature error, you could start with 10k as suggested by Renate.

I just want to test the chip is Ok or not, of course it's not the correct config to drive a high side MOSFET.
My problem it's not working where theoriticaly it does!!!
The circuit is mounted on a breadboard but I think it's not an issue because the working frequency is relatively low (31KHz).
Vcc is 11V but the IC works from 10V to 20V.

Just wonder...

Why is safety so important in a meter that costs 10 dollar? Why not just take it for what it is? In my opinion a godd and sheap number two meter for use in car/boat or in DC circuits off grid.

You don't need a Fluke 289 for measuring a 12V battery or continuity in a DC circuit.

But i'm agreed that everyone that has electronic as hobby must have at least ONE good meter. But as number two meter, i think Aneng Q10 and AN 8009 is good meters.

Comparisions are hateful...

I also saw the offer here. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to enter the code on the UNI-T website.
