Hi,
A Boost PFC stage will do fine with a 300VDC input.
Whether average current mode, "constant on time mode", or BCM  PFC.
LTspice says it will be fine.
Would you agree with this? Our contractor says no , but we think it will be fine.

Many are fine.  If the control depends on pulsating mains voltage, or other assumptions about the waveform, that would be a bit of a problem.  Some have an integrated X-cap discharge, which is triggered by lack of pulsation; these blow up on DC input.

Thanks for pointing out those cases.

As we know, in a Boost PFC, the outer voltage loop eventually wins out....no  matter if vin is half sine or flat DC.
Even the following PFC chip will work with flat DC Input og +300V...

If you give a flat continuous DC input, then you only use half of the rectifier bridge, so in theory it could overheat. However, bridge rectifiers are as tough as old boots, and the standard Si diodes go lower
in Vf as their temp increases..so they self cool.
