Sounds like they took a good bit of money in the form of government grants that the state of Pennsylvania may be looking to recover.
It really seemed like a good technology. Their datasheets claim 3000 cycles at 100%depth of discharge. The batteries also seemed relatively safe from a hazardous material and volatility standpoint.
As a native of Pittsburgh it's twice as disappointing.
