Look at a small external PSU, like a mobile phone charger, a laptop power brick, etc., etc. I do remember it was not always like that but by now every such PSU is designed such that it's not possible to take it apart in a non-destructive way. Frequently, the plastic shells are glued/welded together. The manufacturers are free to put any BS inside, the customers will never know. This is not because of typical copycat attitude. Rather, all designers have to comply with the related regulations on the target market. I wonder which government pioneered the non-separability requirement and when. Name the hero.
