Easy way to wind flyback transformer on ETD29?

Hi,
Can we wind our ETD29 flyback transformer without terminating the windings to the pins? (as attached). We will just terminate to pads which we will put on the PCB.
We are very club-handed, we struggle winding transformers.
Winding a layer, then taping it, then bringing the wire neatly back across for termination is tricky, and results in too much windings depth on the former.
Its only for a prototype board.
