https://www.digikey.com/en/products/filter/power-management-pmic/voltage-regulators-dc-dc-switching-regulators/739?s=N4IgjCBcoLQdIDGUBmBDANgZwKYBoQB7KAbXDAAYAmEAXQF9Gg

Only 8 of 65 MPNs are available. Over 40 are suddenly obsolete. My company got zero notification of the obsolescence of these modules despite buying thousands from various distributors over the past few years. What happened?

It’s a long shot, but could be clerical error at Digikey end. Suggest you cross your fingers and check with Victor directly.

I browsed through some of these obsolete parts. For some, Vicor did issue a PCN Obsolescence/ EOL notice, mostly in January 2021 or January 2023.

But for many like this one, there is a document from Digikey stating that they were not given any notice by Vicor either. I've never seen such a thing before, definitely a very bad sign for Vicor and their customers.

edit: Vicor's website doesn't seem to have any EOL/PCN for these parts, and their product pages still seem to be active, very bizarre. I would contact them directly.

Same deal at Mouser and Arrow.

Maybe someone's suing them for patent infringement?
