HV Supply
« on: October 06, 2021, 11:06:16 am »
Hello there,
I need 2500V output voltage and 1mA continuous, 16mA peak(duration 3us) output current in my circuit.
Vin=24V
Do I have to design my circuit according to 16ma? For example, can I use the product whose link I shared?
If this product is not suitable, which topology or component would you recommend?

You didn't share a link ;)

How often do those peaks occur? What kind of ripple can you accept?

Just use a microwave oven transformer.

Not really a suitable, or safe, suggestion when the OP is looking for a 2.5W supply!

Good question. Short, low duty cycle peaks can probably be handled by the output capacitor.
