Bootstrap drive for two transistor forward

As you know, Two tran forward was never a candidate for bootstrapping, since it has no "pushpull" drive for the bootstrap cap refresh.
However, the attached shows its easily possible.
Since modern bootstrap drivers, like 2ED2109, have immunity to -11V on the Vs pin, and CMTI of 50v/ns, then why do people still use gate drive transformers for the high side drive?
