RVing - 24v - 12v ?
« on: October 11, 2023, 03:39:25 pm »
Because of RVing [ many items are 12v ] I like the idea of 24v [ even 48v ] solar / battery system .
The issue is that most RV's [ mine is an 1985 ] are equipped for 12v .

So looking to see what is happening on converting higher voltage to lower ?

The " Have Your Cake & eat it too " ;)

Concerned with loss's - keeping to a min. ?

I am saving up to upgrade my battery , inverter system , I have a mix of Uni-Solar 24v [ these are high quality flexable ] - maybe 700 watts & about 200 watts in 12v .
Can not afford to replace solar panels --- even though I would like to use glass / aluminum frame panels [ to elevate off roof a few inches for cooling / side affect of shade ] .
