Offline Buck converter input filter
« on: June 05, 2023, 06:56:02 pm »
Hi,
Would you agree that the EMC performance of the two Bucks shown will be the same.

(A) and (B) are the same apart from the bits ringed in circle/oval.

However, (A) will have slightly better mains transient immunity than (B)...(due to the input filter inductor having a capacitor either side of it.)
Would you agree?

Stop that. Jpg garbles text, and bleeds color into adjacent pixels as it's meant for photographs. PNG uses color palettes and lossless compression so on an image with just a few colors like a schematic, it comes out just as crisp as it was originally, and generally a smaller size, with no jpeg artifacting crunching the text.
