[fixed] repair Agilent E8267C, power down, 10Mhz error

after looking on measurement place the generator Agilent E8267C is power down and no action.
Device runs for long time (45800h).
Note!! is device in standby, everytime warming the clock and can be damage by power lost or/and to fast transport!


first check service manual 1. See no fuse external on power supply.
-> check inside , two fuse (blue) to check and the typical ceramic thermal fuse (red) are ok.
-> but design mistake, Fan blow outside (in picture below) and the warm air flow about caps, caps looks little defect (166µF on LCF)-> chance in one was inhouse.


ok power up! but error in selftest 10MHZ




-> check voltage, but all good. ok PS-fault red led on -> hm


-> change big powersupply caps to mouser 871-B43547A9187M000, TDK long life, old was 3000h new are 8000h

-> so look clock board, 10MHZ clock (red marked) and on side warming resistor. Clock and Resistors are bad soldering and i fixed.



but after rebuild and test, the powersupply fan doesnt work, think doesnt work bevor and wasmain problem to fault device.

changed in Conrad.biz ordernr. 1926405-VQ, EBM Papst 3412NHH with little more power.
