hi, actually, or more an long time repair :),  i repair an HP 8114A.
problem, selftest  "no trigger signal for output board" , output relais doesnt work (generator say its on, but is off).

i use the generator for extremly high power (...-120KW) LIDAR prototypes and the problem is you don't get another generator for money either, mostly low power.

i measure the procedure from service manual with sperated transformer and scope but the big white transistor and GND resistor blow up.
change transistor, but i have no idea about resistor (test 1K), sme problem with selftest.
after that, i pick out the voltage boards and measure testpoints, -17V and 12V are mistake. after that checked power supply pcb outside and all voltage are ok
--> must problem on output board.

i will spend some money for schematic and check again. acually no ideas that i can do next. and other projects.

Did you find a schematic? I'm working on fixing the same unit with the same problem right now and am looking for a service manual
