a NTC 10D-9, went MOhm,

maybe the design does not handle some overload condition ?
removed the mosfets, 09N65GX, RU7088R and checked ok
the diode MBR20100CT is ok
i don't have a NTC 10D-9 replacement yet, so i thought i might check the
usual suspects...

the controller is the usual 3842,i'll have to rig up a test circuit for it
note no fuse, and no earth, its in a metal case! entirely dependent on insulation
holding up on the pcb, some of the strands of the 240v lead in are frayed.....
hilarious, just saw a utub
