Title: 2sd323 transistor information
Post by: innkeeper on December 20, 2019, 07:21:43 pm
I am looking for the data sheet for a 2sd323

been searching all the internet resources and can only find basic electrical characteristics, and, they really don't agree with each other and none are official data sheets

I know NEC made them and I have some labeled sony, not sure if sony made them or maybe NEC made them for Sony.

I'm particularly interested in the HFE vs Current graph .. thanks for any help :)

Also could be BD323, often the B is left off.  That would be a TO-39 instead of a TO-3.

Why do you need the hFE(Ic) curve specifically?

I'm looking at an old amplifier design.  looking to see if the transistor used caused any significant compression.
its typical for lower hfe at higher currents but where it starts to drop and by how much makes a big difference.
i learn a lot from seeing what engineers had in mind as they designed things.
i'm trying to avoid needing to characterizing the transistor to find out.

i'll search for a bd323 too.. see if i come up with anything

found the bd323 spec... it's definaly not a bd323 which is a 1a ic

its a TO-3 @ 7A IC

Maybe you would have luck finding complete databook of the manufacturer from appropriate year. Some people scan and upload those things.

i've started down that road, hoping to find a manual scan or hard copy. So far no luck, though they have to exists.
think a lot of them were in Japanese at the time. this is circa 1973. id be happy to find one even in Japanese.

I have some specs that are listed in my 1988 Japanese transistor manual, but there is no graphs.

not sure if its the same info
here is a Japanese data manual Fromm 1981 i found
if it is any different please post, thanks

hi Pete, I did see that one, unfortunately, none of the pdf's they link to are for the 2sd323 and half of text-based specs do not agree with the Japanese sheet.
thanks though, I appreciate you pointing it out.

I may have to blow the dust off the curve tracer.
