Hi Guys, name is Chad and I should have started to hang out here long ago. whats going on is i had this keysight 344614 meter since it came out and it has worked perfect until about a week ago. motherboard has Agilent Rev 4 marking. Discovered a blown U303 ADG1208 replaced that. still have a 2 components right near the transformer that I cannot read from physical damage and could not pull any numbers from Daves teardown pictures. Contacted Keysight and they will not provide schematics for this. can someone take a good picture of this section or provide the values? picture attached of the area on mine. the diode is open, L1002 and CR1007 are both bubbled. IC 5173G gets Flamin' hot. turned on after I replaced ADG1208 and it looked like meter readings came back but turned it off right away when the the glow showed up on the flir gun hence discovering the missed damage area.. Thank you kindly hope to find these values rather than doing a hack / reverse engineering guess. Chad. ****update 06-15** the cause of the destruction was my fault. I had the front lead set tied to one voltage and a back panel high voltage probe under load with its ground clamped to the wrong unit under test. had the high voltage probe under a 20kv and switched to the back panel HV probe without removing the front panel active B+ reading on top of that. |

IC is CS5173G, it might also heat because Schottky diode or the load is shorted. https://mm.digikey.com/Volume0/opasdata/d220001/medias/docus/6146/CS5171-73_Rev27_May2023.pdf |

Diode B3V is MBR0530 https://lv.mouser.com/datasheet/2/308/1/MBR0530T1_D-2315063.pdf L1002 most likely is the same as L1004 EDIT: Nope, it's 2.2uH. |

I opened mine, CR1007 most likely is BAV70. |

thank you for all this!. that a pretty good solid start.. decided to remove all the 3 confirmed bad components and powered up . the 5173G still got super hot.. removed that powered up same error.. also removed the 5174G that should be tied to that as I plan to replace. that one would climb to 200deg F then rapidly dip to 120 right on power up. i assume that one is bad too or maybe thats normal startup with the stuff removed? |
