54622D Boot data error occured?
« on: March 29, 2020, 02:06:54 pm »
Hello,

I have updated few days ago my scope with newest firmware.
Everything was ok until today when i powered it on i've get one new system concern which was not previously seen.

It was boot data error occured.

See the picture

How to fix that? Is this due to low battery?
Otherwise, scope pass all the tests and it is working normally.

Thank you in advance!

How to fix that?
Replace the lithium cell and reset the oscilloscope:

NB You will need to access the underside of the system board to unsolder the battery.

Hello JFJ,

So if i change the battery and reset the scope, will boot data error dissapear? I am so concerned about that error, i hope it is not HW problem because scope works fine.

Thank you!

You should be able to test that the errors will disappear by doing a power-on reset now. The boot data that was lost is only non-critical information, such as the oscilloscope's settings (Volts/div, Time/div, etc.) before it was last powered down.

I tried that! Pushed softkey during power up and display came wihout any errors.
So this is a good news?

Yuk! Battery replacement is sensitive but i will change it.

I forgot to mention, i did as you wrote and errors did disappear, but at the second power-up it is the same error list.

Thank you!
