Hi folks,
Just sharing what is probably obvious to most of you. I recently completed an LCD swap on my old Fluke 8020A using this handy guide:
http://mrmodemhead.com/blog/fluke-8020a-lcd-replacement/The referenced Lumix LCD-S3X1C50TR/B wasn't easily available so I found on Mouser the Varitronix VI-302-DP-RC-S. This LCD has different pin names but is 100% pin-compatible with the previously posted instructions.
The results are attached. It floors me that this meter is getting close to 50 years old and the ohms offset with shorted leads is 0.00 - amazing. You can see off to the right side the condition of the stock LCD screen - badly leaked.
