Title: 85645A Range 3 not showing up on the Spectrum Analyzer
Post by: tchiwam on April 29, 2021, 11:38:45 pm
Anyone her ever played with the 85645A ?

FYI:
Band 1 Up to 6.46GHz
Band 2 5.7 to 13GHz
Band 3 12.36 to 19.7GHz
band 4 19.031 to 26.5GHz

In CW it is able to make a nice spike between 12.36 and 19.7GHz (band 3)

But when I use tracking (offset or not) it is not working.

I did the service procedure a couple of times and Band 1 2 and 4 are getting flatter every time I do the procedure again.
I did adjust the frequency and I am getting something within a few Hz in band 1 2 and 4 in tracking mode

I guess the module A6 SYTM (Multiplier by 1 2 3 4) is working and I guess the filter is following too as they work in CW.

Anyone having the diagram of the A3 board ? I want to know the difference between the CW and tracking.

If I use 0 span and a frequency in that range I have a spike really far off wide band thing ....

Lucky enough I have 2 Spectrum analyzer to play with today... Even if one is a little hurt.
