fluke 83 lead warning beeper

hi all i thought id share this,a few months ago my fluke 83v kept flashing lead and beeping on all switch positions,looked on the net about cleaning the probe sockets with ipa and cotton buds etc,nothing worked then i saw the price of a new probe socket assembly,about £28 here in the uk,i thought well nothing to loose so unsoldered the sockets from the meter and trew them in my washing machine wrapped in a sock,dried them in the airing cupboad for a day after and refitted,bingo fixed it sparkly clean and curred the lead warning issue,enjoy 73 m3vuv.
