| Access tv service mode without a remote control when stuck on startup logo |

Hi, I have a Panaview tv. When turning it on it gets stuck on the "Wisdom-Share smart Cloud TV" logo. Does anyone know how i can access the service mode of this tv without remote control to do a factory reset. The remote control is damaged. There are 6 buttons on the tv "CH-, CH+, Vol-, Vol+, Menu and Source". Anyone know which buttons or combination of buttons to press and when to press them? I tried a few. Or is there another way to access the service mode. Many thanks in advance |

Usually when a smart TV locks up on the boot menu this is because of a fault with the software due to corrupted NAND flash memory, this means there is no service menu available (usually). The fixes are one of: - Replace the main board - most expensive but usually works. - Flash the memory IC with a new image. Works, but you need a copy of a good image which isn't always available. - 'Root' the TV and repair the damage. This worked for me on one Sharp smart TV, as I was able to access the Linux console and see why the main application did not start, replaced the file it needed and it worked fine. But you need to understand Linux/embedded systems, hope that your TV has an exposed UART port that isn't locked down and that it is getting past the bootloader. |

Many thanks tom66. I'll ask the owner of the tv to sell it to me as scrap and then i will use the parts to repair another tv. Thanks again |
