ACD 30" Part Identification
« on: October 17, 2022, 02:10:38 am »
Ref:     Apple Cinema Display 30” A1083
Model: M9179LL/A
MLB:   LAQ55C Rev 3 Eax35328203

Greetings:
I discovered a missing diode, D204, while bench testing the MLB in the above reference, please see attached.

The smd code for the diode would be very helpful.

Thank you

Can you identify U201?

Are your sure D204 isn't normally unpopulated?

1/ U201 is a voltage detector whose set point is Vs = +2.9v.  It throws a logic low to the uC reset pin during power up and sudden power interruptions.

smd code 6F, device P/N KIA7029AF/AT

2/ Upon closer examination with a 20x eye loop, it appears that the solder connections for D204 are smooth and of factory quality therefore intentionally unstuffed.

Thank you so much for asking the question.

I think I'm good for now
