Hi guys im repairing a tablet which has a faulty charge port but i have found a diode shorted on the positive line near too the usb port possible tvs diode? all i can read on the old diode is H7 it also has a dot above the H and 7  can any of you help with identification the diode location is inline with the number 5 and the screw hole.

Is it a SOD523 package as in the Codebook?

Hi in good light tomorrow i will try and take a good picture and measure the part ive also asked this same question on badcaps.net we thought it maybe a tvs diode because one of the pads where the part is removed from is short too ground the other pad goes to the usb charge port

Hi just measured the part it is 0.6 by 0.8 so yes maybe a sod523 now all we need too do is find out if its a zener or a tvs diode its on the 5volt plus line so guess the parts for over voltage/surge protection? one pad one pad goes to the + usb pin one pad reads ground.

Hi guys well i fitted the replacement charge port (i left the bad diode out) the tablet powers on and charges/works fine so im giving it back too my friend as is, but i will advise them i have left the protection diode out as i cant source one (this repair is a free one anyway.)
