Agilent 54621d Oscilloscope - Battery and Software buttons
« on: October 21, 2022, 07:23:08 pm »
Hello i am a bit of an electronics newb and i just managed to pickup a 54621d. On startup it gives me a warning about low battery and the 4 leftmost software keys don't register when pressed. Otherwise it passes selftests and works with the calibration signal.

For the battery problem i found this thread:
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/repair/how-to-replace-battery-in-agilent-54621a-oscilloscope/

But i couldn't find something for the software keys. It would be lovely if i could get some tips on resolving these issues. Thanks in advance.

EDIT:
Managed to find this video about the keys

I have fixed the buttons at least for now by disassembling the scope and cleaning the buttons with Isopropyl alcohol and then placing a bit of copper tape on top.
