Agilent 6813B Power Source / Analyzer defective (CC)
« on: July 18, 2024, 05:04:49 am »
Hello,

short question, since I am at the very beginning of the process:
I got here an 6813B Power Source, that was from some
abandoned storage.

Many functions where out of Spec, an initializing and
re-adjustment solved most of the problems....

But CC-Mode is not working!

No matter what current I key in, the device will limit
the output-current to a much lower value than desired (1/3 or lower)
(but with higher current-limit keyed in, the current rises).

As said: it's calibrated/adjusted (by the way: the reading/measured value
on the Display is the actual floating current, so that is right).

Since I do not have the adapter service kit 5063-2330 and have much respect
regarding the high voltages inside I don't want to start
fault-search from the scratch (but will if to other way)
and I am hoping someone out there might know:
"Yesssss, I know - it's common, it's cable/part xyz..."

Error routines ending with "0".

Looking forward for some hints.
Thanks and best regards.
