Agilent 8920B repair

Hello everybody

I have Agilent 8920B which started to show several glitches:
1. When starting, it shows sometimes the "error 0040" which is in called in Assembly Level Repair Manual "Real-Time Clock" problem on A8 Memory board. I have just replaced dead 3V battery, but it does not help at all.
2. When connected to LabView, Sometimes it shows "Battery Backed RAM initialized. Standard RAM not Maintained". After clicking OK it starts normally.
Any suggestions?

could be the case of some nvram battery who died and you lost some cal values, meaning its no longer calibrated,  try to find  if you have some coin cel battery, any battery  or some Dallas ic's
