Agilent E3645A schematic
« on: June 03, 2022, 10:16:41 pm »
Could anyone point me towards a schematic or service manual for the E3645A please?

I called Keysight and they sent me the user's guide saying that is the only manual available.  It has a component location guide, but no schematic, parts, or values.

I'm hoping someone might have had better luck.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like they removed the schematic part from the latest service manual.

See here for schematics:

Indeed, you need an older version of the manual before they removed the schematics. This should be the correct one for the single output models, including de E3645A:

Would anyone be able to point me in the right area to find out why the E3645A voltage is varying wildly and showing "Unreg" on the display?

It had been working fine since the last repair in June of 2022 where C311 had shorted (burning the PCB), and the fuse on the 18V secondary (Green wire, inline) had blown.  At that time I also replaced the RIFA caps (C177, C178 & C179).

Without any noticed event it is now unable to maintain a steady voltage and "Unreg" annunciator is either on steady or flickers.

The sense lines are connected as normal on the rear connector.  It happens at any voltage in any range with or without load.

I'm not smart enough to find this one and am hoping for some pointers on where to be looking.

Thanks in advance,
scotto
