Anritsu MG3681A RPP(Reverse Power Protection) fault
« on: July 10, 2018, 10:41:13 am »
Hello to you all.
I am maarten pa1u. I got a mg3681a defect from a other HAM.
First i repaired the power input terminal. The nulterminalwas intermittand.
The mg3681 is powering up but hangs on the RPP.(Reverse Power Protection).
I tried to reset but the fault comes back.
I read in the manual it is a mechanicly switch for protection.
Anyone knows this problem and the way to solve it.

Greetz maarten pa1u

Hello,
Try disconnecting the flat cable that controls the attenuator, inside is the rpp detector. Do this with the power off or you may increment your rpp counter.
disconnect the rf input of the attenuator and see if you have a signal there.
Good luck
