Anritsu MT8801B Spectrum Analyzer and TX measurement dead
« on: October 14, 2017, 01:12:28 pm »
Hello,

I got an MT8801B with options 01,02,04,05 and 07.
Unfortunately the analyzer don't show any spectrum, not even a line. It's just the SA-"main" screen, were I can change the values. Also, the analog TX-measurement don't seem to be working. What I can get is an signal on the correct frequency out of the SG. Also, the unit seem to lock up often or it takes a long time that the keys will respond again (mainly when going to the TX-measurement screens).
The error don't look like dead capacitors, could it be an bad input ? I tried also the aux-input, same result.

Thanks for any help!
Bernie

PS: now the SG also won't work anymore. the Anritsu locks up when I hit the RX-Test button out of the analogue-menue.
(but the clock is still running)

Someone have an 8801B image available ? Need to check if the software is faulty.
