Anritsu S412E, factory calibrations.
« on: February 12, 2023, 01:12:14 pm »
I faced with problem on my S412E LMR Master.

Disappeared modulation in signal generator. Worked only Continuous Wave mode. AM/FM digital DMR did not work. After some investigation, I found that it was not hardware issue, but software. I totally cleaned flash IC on SigGen board, flash new test patterns from Anristsu site, and now, it is working. But, looks like factory calibrations also was in this flash. At present time, all works, but I see message "Calibration invalid" on screen in all modes, and SigGen level have mismatch around 4 dB.

Does anybody have any info about factory calibrations for this device? In "Maintenance manual" I found only info about frequency alignment, without any information about other parameters alignments (SigGen level for example).

Any help is welcome.

This would need to be sent in to service for re-cal. The factory likely keeps the cal data file, but the service group would not likely mail it out and they would more likely re-cal the unit anyway as there is little value in recalling the old cal unless they were investigating a warranty or systemic issue.
