Anyone in UK, Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset with hotair soldering kit?

I have two boards needing some parts soldered on and I don't quite need a hotair station (yet!).

Is there anyone in the area who will let me use their kit for a few hours, I can offer cider or the use of a Transmille calibrator for a few hours.

So everyone is clear, Calibration = Taking Measurement against a known source, Verification = Checking Calibration against Specification, Adjustment = Adjusting the unit to be within specifications.

Hot air products are easy to find. Its the real working ones you need to hunt for...... sorry, I couldn't resist a hot air gag.

If I need hot air I know where to go ;-)

Its just SMD parts, I could use my gas soldering iron in blow torch mode but I just think that will make a mess.

Well I managed to get the loan of a hot air unit, it was a hard bargain.

The loaner got an adjusted 2000 Keith and I also managed to measure their 10V ref on my work 3458.

Just need to use the heat gun to do do my soldering now.
