it's pretty obvious what the component is but the device (a bluetooth speaker) is full of fets with this logo some scorched on top looks like alpha omega but drawn wrong wondered if anyone else ever came across this one |

VBsemi |
| oddbondboris:
wow that was fast thanks, i could have sworn i looked at that one but nope it's dead on |
| wraper:
Be aware that while this part is called SI4447ADY, its specs are very different from SI4447ADY from Vishay, actually it's quite a bit beefier, with 4x lower RDSon, 2x current rating and 2.5x gate charge :o. VBsemi is strange with their component naming, from what I've seen their parts often are significantly different from same part numbers of western brands. Like they have some component to sell and they just slap western part numbers without bothering if it's specs are actually similar. |

thanks it doesn't really matter in this case as the driving circuitry is dead too and the board has shorted layers but i like to know for when i steal components to troubleshoot another board which datasheet to get any particular reason you think this is an si4447ady not an HM4447-vb? mostly wondering if there was something i missed, as far as i can tell all the si4447ady vbsemi parts have 4447a on them |
